mankada dian a wanderful waterfull

mankada dian
mankada dian waterfall
Mankada dian waterfall which a marvellous place to visit and is located near R.Udaygiri, of gajapati district in odisha state,a pristine natural beauty near Kankada village under Sialilati panchayat of this block in Gajapati district was left dark and gloomy thanks to the insensitive and negligent attitude of the administration.
In gajapati district there are several place to visit as like Kabatnal, Luhakhunti and Ghodasal waterfalls, the Mankada Dian waterfall is unique and in other term we said it is a hub for visiting place as well as citing place and picnic spot too.
if anybody polans to visit in summer season to that place fells like an awesome feeling.
the waterfall produces such a clean and cool water which is very a stupendousto take bath of natural shower and that place is full of natural beauty and a good place for natural lovers.

The waterfall drains down a hill from a 100ft height, creating a scenic beauty, which the tourists are bound to appreciate. The picturesque site is a tourists’ delight as one has to walk around 2km hilly tracks along a stream to reach there.
that site is near about 70 kms from brahmapur town.
Mankada Dian is so named as during the footslog one has to jump over the streams like a monkey to reach the final destination. Monkeys in the forest jump as they are  exuberant creatures. The trekking track towards the fall is such a tricky journey that a visitor has to adopt the tricks of the monkey to reach there, hence the name, locals said.
Due to lack of renovation and development work, the immaculate beauty of the waterfall has remained within the terrain hills which results  inaccessible roads and lack of proper facilities for tourists has been left it to degenerate over the year. But i hope dont take it as laxness.
The tourist spot that was once a huge attraction for trekkers and visitors has now been left in exclusion and laxity. No effort was made to maintain it by any of regarding department even though it was one of the few waterfalls in the area, a local said.

Jiranga Buddha temple.

Largest budha temple of India
Buddhism which started as a different and beautiful Hinduism in India, has spreaded over the world to become the 4th largest religion in the world. There are many Buddhist monasteries in India which propagate the peaceful teachings of Buddha. One such monastery is in Southern Odisha in Jirang. It is nearly 80-85 kms from the town of Brahmapur.

So, our  organization team and I set out on a journey on our personal vehicle to find Lord Buddha. What a beautiful road we enjoyed the ways. After travelling 50 kms from Berhampur, we reached Where a small pond is available which produces hot water. At one look it may look like your average small town. But there is a temple here built around a natural hot water spring which is said to possess medicinal properties. There is also a deer park availed by the forest department.

After stopping for a while, we continued on our path. Asking for directions, diverting off the route for few kilometers and finally reached the place.

It is known as Padmasambhava Mahavihara monastery and was inaugurated by Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama who is one of biggest proclaimer of budhist. It is complete with the main temple complex, residential buildings, a canteen and many beautiful gardens.
There was a waterfall approximately 10kms from there. There was quite a crowd there as it was a famous picnic spot. We earlier had plans to take bath but as it was getting late and cold we enjoyed the cold shower. The place was clean and looked marvelous with numerous forests in the background. It was an ideal place for clicking photos.Overall we had a great day and the monastery was the highlight of the whole journey. Who would have thought that such a great place exists in midst of dense forests of Southern Odisha? India truly never ceases to amaze us….
It is a must visit place for everyone and I sure that you will not regret it.
Jiranga in south Orissa's Gajapati district which shot to fame on Tuesday with the opening of south Asia's biggest monastery by the Dalai Lama, had added another feather to its cap.
The Tibetan settlement has been declared as a tourist spot by Debi Prasad Mishra, the state tourism and culture minister.

“We have declared Jiranga along with Khasada, a nearby village where a natural waterfall is located, as the state’s 319th tourist spot. The notification in this regard has been handed over to the Dalai Lama”, said Mishra.

The state government would develop the infrastructure for the selected tourist spot through a road connectivity between Jiranga and Taptapani. Taptapani, located 50 km from here, is famous for its hot springs.

It may be noted that earlier the Tibetan refugees at Jiranga had requested the state government to declare the place as a tourist spot.

Historians feel the declaration of Jiranga as a tourism spot will pull tourists from the south Asian countries as the monastery will be the centre of attraction.

The monastery will certainly help to develop tourism in south Orissa, said Shishir Kumar Panda, president of Indian History Congress.

“Although it is a modern monastery, it will play a significant role in research on the origin of Buddhism. The monastery will have a good library on Buddhism and several scholars will visit the monastery to study on Buddhism and Budha”, said Amiya Kumar Patnaik, another noted historian.

The 70-foot high and five-stored Rigon Thupten Mindoling monastery at Jiranga is spread over 10 acres and has been built at a cost of Rs eight crore.
